How would I go about repairing a couple of small hairline cracks in an old valve base? Is it bakelite or paxolin maybe? The crack is just visible but could get worse. Could I pipe some kind of glue in or a filler of some sort? Just want to stop it getting any worse if possible.
Cheers

Hi Steve.
Thanks for the info. I was wondering if I was worrying about nothing. The cracks have probably been there for years anyway. It's not like I will be pulling them every five minutes anyway. They will be fitted and left in. I think the cracks are too small to get any kind of epoxy in, such as Araldite, but Loctite may be thin enough to run in there. I may give it a try.... then again I may not. If it did break, I guess I could worry about repair then.
Cheers
