#1 Free 1619's for students or out of work enthusiasts.

I had 7 1619's.

4 are a reasonably close match to go in this push pull amp.

1 rustles. That may be the base only, I tried cleaning it; still rustles. It isn't unknown that you have to resoulder the pins to the leed out wires within them. I would try that if I were you.

2 are a reasoble match for each other but not close enough to the four. So someone hard up could make a cheap low powered SE amp on the lines of a 45 amp with them.

They sound similar to 45's and likewise to 6v6's.

They are not 45's they are not 6v6's and neither are the 6L6's. But they have been used instead of all those for many years while they were cheap. Now the price is upwards. But still cheap for what they are.

Free to a suitable candidate.

The main point about them is they are directly heated. A cheap intorduction to the world of low powered DHT's.

a quick dec on eBay shows that Paul's offer is a bargain!
