#1 RCA TYPE 27 BLACK PLATE TRIODE

Well while looking for some other valve I spotted theses an put a bit in for a MATCH PAIR RCA TYPE 27 BLACK PLATE TRIODE
and go them for the large sum of £6.00 Valve cost £1.46 don't know if there any good but for that price :o
I believe they are pre amp Direct Heat valve Anyone know anything about them and have a datasheet

Thanks for that Ed/Colin
The one thing I did over look was socket types I take it it's the 5 pin type UX5 for the 807 and UY types Valves thats required

Just to add it is one of the valve types I make sure I am not without. Never dissapoints. One of the few remaining valves available moderately cheaply in Mesh Plate Globe form. But any version sounds good.

For most amps two of these per channel as Voltage amplifiers will fulfill that function. Worth ordering the base. IMHO not worth going to the expense of the 26 or 112 if you already have a 27 and I prefer the 27 to the 56 and 76. Just as I prefer the 56 and 76 to the 6J5. The real lesson is older is better. Also good to get a long way back in the pre Chinease valve era.

Don't quite jhhonestly have a clue why anyone would buy any VA valves from China with all these early valves available and cheaper..

Just to confirm are the correct bases need the UX5 Types for the RCA 27s
