Hi All
What do you now about this valve a CED 7025 /12ax7 also known as an E7GC7 well here’s my review on this one up ageist the mullard ECC83 /12ax7) at £40.00 ish and the Marconi B339 £65.00 and the 7025 8 quid this valve is as good in every way that the other two I have listed hear in my 12B4a headphone Amp the 7025 just doses its thing and works with jazz/blues but any one know it s history

t's listed in Vade-Mecum, as American equivalent of ECC83.

Yes that site isn’t too informative all I can say is it’s labelled as CE not CED. E7GC7 7025/12AX7WA made in Russia by Sovtek 0406 no other markings on it

OK, I know it, it's a re-badged modern Sovtek ECC83, I think this was originally derived form their 6N2P.

I've used these and the EI Elites, quite good value for money, the 83 is probably OK in a headphone, I have used them in gain stages for my 300B, better when self loaded.
