Oh!
Forgot the link to the site with the calculators.

There's plenty of good quality advice for the erstwhile speaker builder on there too.
It's a good read. :)

the above post makes no sense at all Mark. All the quotes are attributed to the wrong people....

button pressed Steve, arriving Wednesday, £64 each incl.....

I ran the winisd plots again, this time adding the 80 ltrs version...the difference between the advised 300 ltrs and the amended 80 ltr version is a slight hump of 0.5db at 100 to 120 hz.but it does take the alignment from 0.71 to 0.9.I see that as the price of experience....go figure... I can't imagine how I missed it last year when I was looking at them.

I think, to satisfy the mem sahib, I will have to have a clear out of unused drivers on the shelf. They are projects that will likely never see the light of day.

oh oh oh...this plan may be coming togther...I can get rid of the sheet of 18mm BB that I just discovered when I put the electrostats into storage, and use some of the 1/2 pallet of 1.5mm brown ebony veneer thats been under the boys bed since I closed the workshop....oooh, result

I broke the 211 out of storage the other day (removed cardboard boxes, cleaned out cobwebs and replace a 6d22s), that might work well with these speakers. Will see if I can put it in the car for Owston. Its driving Dave's field coil speakers at the moment.

You got a good deal there Ed.
Should be cheap to do, as you appear to have most of the other bits already to hand :)
Yep, I got that slight hump at 100Hz with the 80L cab. Works great with the back-to-the-wall loading doing the biz below that.
No 16Hz organ pipes are going to shatter the windows as we found with Scott's Gary Numan record, but it'll do on 99.9% of music. Nice and tight at the bass end.

Break a leg with the build

The 211 with the Fanes. Now that's definitely something to look forward to. :D

the best laid plans etc etc.....

I've just had an email from the vendor to say the payment has been processed but the drivers are out of stock, wont be in till mid July, do I want them on back order.....

I've asked for a refund...it really gets to me when web sites clearly state items are in stock with delivery times...and they're not.....sassenfrassencursenfrassinclaudehopper

That's a bugger :(
You can have my 15 inch FRs for a small fee if you want.
Realistically, the 12s are great in my room at home and are plenty big enough for my use for the rest of my natural.
It's daftness me building 15s just for the sake of it. I bought them on impulse.
£150 the pair and I'll bring them to Owston.
Drop me a PM and we can sort something if you want them and you can just carry on my 15" thread with your own design.

Phil I'm not sure Steve was being serious, but if he was then go for it.....

me, I'm going to wait until Blue Aran get them back in....irrational I know but I feel there's something not quite right about waiting until you've banked the money before letting the poor punter know that the website was luring you in.
