170 miles 3.5 hours to Owston if you think it is worth it.

You could justify trip by bringing me your drop off work.

190 miles via A14 & A1.

It would be nice to see you Dave, and I could bring the Dual 1019 for you. I've even found the instruction book and mounting template. :)

Apologies Dave if you didn't mean it that way. It just seemed ironic that Nick's amps were recently questioned for being too smooth or lacking bite - kind-of ironic, so it tickled me hence my comment. In practice it was the F5 which is also a very correct and competent SS amp.
As usual my postings always have a degree of humour attached.

I am now making my dem Doc Mods available for loan to anyone wanting to to mod existing speakers to NVA principles, and to show what those changes achieve

The donor units were B&W standmounts with 8 inch bass driver. Now steel lined, no crossover (just tweeter protection), no wadding, doped drive units.

To get the loan just start a thread in NVA loans at HFS ( www.hifisubjectivist.org ).

I seem to remember one or two positive comments about them, for me they were unimpressive.

But, perhaps the room was too big for them ?

That is why they are available for loan at HFS.
