Didn't know you even owned an iron!
Mind you, I was ironing a pair of skis earlier this month. Maybe we should start a thread on the weirdest things we can find to iron with our new found domestic skills...........
Nice job btw, I'm looking forwards to giving them a listen sometime.
I did some ironing last week too, did a lenco plinth in white oak, I've done it before on the other walnut lenco plinth using the contact adhesive method rather than iron on, this was a doddle compared to that.
Need some more gummed tape for the joints though for the next one, I've run out and oak shrinks quite abit
Also good for toast and as a life support system for abandoned new-born lambs.
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.
My in-laws are farmers, everyone has Agas, and my MiL genuinely used to put cold new-born lambs in front of the "cool oven" with the door open (it's very close to the floor) - not actually IN the oven as its about 120C in there
We are just at the start of a new eco-house design/build (passive solar this time), but SWMBO still wants another Aga...
That's the farce of the government rules and regs. Dictate your central heating but turn a blind eye to your Aga and Your DFE (decorative fuel effect fire, as in 90% of the heat goes to heating up the stratosphere 10% to heat the room.)
All it's really about is ruling you. Taking away your freedom as a consumer and mine as a tradesman. Leaving freedom to the confines of the unregistered who doesn't care and the immigrant who doesn't know.
The same stupidity which is actually just about removing your freedom applies to safety issues as well as to this the environmental issue.
"Two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I am not yet completely sure about the universe." – Albert Einstein
Only just seen this thread- Mega Super Professional looking build there, DTB!
As an aside I'm impressed with the fact you managed to put screws through the velcro without snagging it...
I look forward to hearing them….

Whats your view of the sound of their LS3/5a ?
Mel
I like 'em, I like 'that' sound they're famous for, dry, beeb-like! You might know this already but you do have to sit almost on top of them to get the best from them. They're purposed as a mini monitor, not a room filler. I like them.
