More progress over last week and this weekend - though heat on the porch slowed me down.

Splitter for exit ( mouth ) of shorter horn ( comes out of sides, half way up unit ) -
( "Still life with wood glue" ) Most of the other bits are done - just four corner pieces to prepare - which have proved time-consuming.
The divider panel between the front and rear horn paths is ready to go in, and the small bottom bend piece, also from fibreboard.

Well worth registering here, if you like speaker build threads with pictures.

Count to 10 Mark; it's recoverable, just a lot of extra work - I know how you feel though.

A piece of half-round beading glued to that gouge, now. Thanks Ray.
Also found an old straight end-roller bit that had a good bearing, and I was able to sharpen it, after a fashion.
Nearly there with this now. About ten screw holes to drill and some through-wires from the front driver to install, then I can test, before doing a bit of cosmetic trimming.

I'm glad it sounds as though the recovery as relatively simple - I thought it had started to go wrong with the edge nearest the router base as it doesn't look smooth? Good stuff though an at least your problem was a bearing failure, I once used the wrong size bearing (my own stupidity) and made myself a whole load of work!IslandPink wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 10:52 pm ...9...10
