Heard plenty of decks since I got my first hifi at about 12 years old. That was 42 years ago.

Off the top of my head I have owned these...

AR EB101
Linn Axis
Townshend Rock
many 401's
10+ Lencos
SL1200's probably 15+
Clearaudio Master Innovation
AMG Giro
Couple of Duals
Ariston RD11

The quest to find the best that beats everything else (IMO) is over at last! It means I won't need to spend any more on vinyl spinners, just the stuff to play on it!

One is assuming the prototype makes it into production, I dearly hope so.

I should think some of those lencos or 401's could be pretty good too, depending on the accompanying kit ...

A 401 with a 12 inch arm and £5000 cartridge powered by a quartz mains re generator could sound shit I suppose if you are nearly deaf or have some sort of agenda as a lot of forum dwellers seem to have.

I think we can assume if it doesn’t involve an Alfa then Neal is agenda free.
