They can be got for around 200 quid at the moment, and dont sound like the at carts of old, I.e nasty and screechy

I wouldnt have even considered an at cart having heard the older generation ones until hearing the at440. Both the 440 and the at f7 are crackers. Both are what I would describe as clean. Some might find the f7 abit clinical but i like it, its no dl103 put it that way. Reminds me of the kontrapunkt b

Shame the cantilever is abit wonky, still plays nicely though, hence wanting another one

Yes magnetic feet.

The tape is holding the connector, I have a piece of brass which will be fettled to bolt the connector to.

That's special Japanese audiophile tape he's got there, Ant.
What's with the black background for the black arm etc, Alui I can almost see something there :D
What I can see looks very cool though.

Erm , yes, but that was kind-of my point : the background to the jet-black tonearm is a thing that's like a coal cellar, also absorbing all light in the universe, this may well be a TV soundbar for all I know.

It's a Mission 774, with a 12" wand that a bloke on Ebay sells.

The brass mounting collar and Bass plate were made by Speedy Steve. Phil made the black spacer underneath.
