#1 Haddock Tonearm plug and socket

Post by cycleallday »

Does anybody know of a source or the name of the red plug and socket used on Haddcock tonearms (arm lead to interconnect lead) as I need a new set ?

I cannot believe it was made as a one off for Haddock but as I don't know what to call it I cannot seem to find it at the likes of Farnell, RS, CPC and other electronic component suppliers.

Well not 'top notch' as apart from 'vinylspinner's original response, the rest have been piss takes on Mel's use of Haddock when clearly we all know he meant Hadcock. That's not been helpful to Mel. A bit of a shame really.

Not the original item but a drop in replacement, with the added advantage of having five pins so if you want you can wire it balanced and separate the earth connection. IMHO it looks better in black. I used one on my Mission 774 which came with the same red connector as the Haddock.

The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

Many thanks Shane, I think I recognise that connector and will give it a try.

I had a hadcock arm. I liked it. I used to cycle all day too and now I cycle for various fractions of a day - taxing!

When the sun shines again I aim to cycle all day once more. But now I have a very impressive Roxanne tone arm. I used to live with a Lebanese woman called Roxanne. Now we are just friends and I am not (with appypollylogies to Anthony Burgess' wonderful dystopia) ... no, I've lost the plot...

sorry

p.s. hope you get it sorted
