When one "digitises" vinyl the signal is stored on a hard drive in digital form.

Can one not tap into that signal before it gets to the hard drive ?

Or use it for replay after a short delay as you can when replaying TV progs on a Sky box or PVR device ?

I don't have that sort of money I'm afraid.
I'm coming to the conclusion that once you ditch vinyl, it is expensive to get it back.

However, surely it is not beyond your means/skill level to build a half decent (or better) phono stage to use with the turntable Ant has offered you ? And lots of people swear by passive pre-amps, so that need not cost a lot.

AFAIK Simon sold the Joplin in favour of the Paradise stage ;)
