2 this week, a copy of otis redding sitting on the dock of the bay on the blue stax label. Cost me nowt, russ the record guy gave me it as it looks awful. Gave it a good clean and it came up OK, no distortion but it's noisy. Great album though
Other one was Fleetwood Mac live from 1980. Great record

This is astonishingly good as Nick would say, I even had to borrow a copy back from a mate I sold one to as the initial pressing sold out in 7 days and I needed to hear it.

Its got this nice thing to confuse HiFi folk at shows

Though the pressing is a real test of tracking, its recorded at a very high level.

My annual trip to Langley Mill Records, no sale this year :( .
Prices seem to be creeping up must be that “vinyl second time around bunch”. Managed to get the last Bebop deluxe album - “drastic plastic” to complete my collection, along with a first pressing of the Eagles debut album, amongst other weird and obscure LP’s.
Just waiting for the last bits to complete my ultrasonic record cleaner, to give these and other pressings a good clean before spinning.

This arrived today, from Germany via Discogs. A near-mint copy of this quite in-demand record. It wasn't cheap but I reckon I got it £20 or £30 less than the going rate for a nice one.
It's just ... really great. Not a record to play late at night though , unless you live somewhere nice & secluded.

Why are you suggesting to buy form the yanks when plenty of UK dealers have them.

Strange.

With respect, at the time of posting, no one in the U.K. was advertising it as immediately available including you. I bought it from the US and so have several of my friends and they got it much cheaper than I did. Possibly a second production run. I agree. It is astonishingly good as Nick would say. Actually, probably the quietous LP I have ever heard regarding background noise. I listened to it completely through again today. Fantastic! So much atmosphere and so solidly right sound wise. My best recording for best vinyl presentation.

No need for you to give me a hard time. I was messaging according to availability at the time. If you and other U.K. dealers now have stock, well done. Maybe you should up your advertising.

Just got this World Music classic from a dealer in the US. Cost about £24 including postage ( postage was about 2/3rds of that !) . Rare to find a 60 year-old record in near mint condition - the cover is amazing.
Sound quality is well ... just fab - super colourful and dynamic. I would recommend anyone recording music today, to follow the technical advice shown on the back cover, extract below :

That's not really a 'Vinyl Find', is it Dave ?
I'm quite OK with you having a 'Re-Issue Heads-Up' thread or some such title.

Couple today, haven't been to see russ the record guy in a couple of months as other needs must, got copies of the jam - sound affects and the old grey whistle test - take two
Haven't listened to them yet, got work to do first.....
