It actually took me a really long time to get Zappa, but once I did there was no going back. Perhaps a nice hit of "Doreen" is just what you need. If not, what *is* it that you favor? I have a particular predilection for Americana and 80s-90s southern midatlantic alt-pop, which is a genre of which most people outside the area and under 40 are tragically unaware unless they've heard the Smithereens or, more recently, Southern Culture on the Skids. In fact, I most *definitely* need to bring the latest SCOTS along next time, because I bet no one will have heard it, but everybody will think they have.cressy wrote:Ive never really got zappa.
(ducks for cover)
Besides, it's one of the best-mixed records I've heard in years. (Not *too* surprising, as the recording was a collaboration between the band and my old friend and multiple Grammy winner 'Mixer' Mark Williams, who lo these many years past also mixed my pro demo. I promise, it's absolutely *nothing* like Zappa.
