More juicy stuff from the shop in Keswick -
Fleetwood Mac's third album, the one where Danny Kirwan joins Peter Green on guitar & songwriting, wanted this for a while, v.much looking forward to playing. With discount I got it for just under £60.
Also an early(ish) mono copy of Beefheart 'Safe as Milk' on PYE. Not heard this mix, I have the later 'Dropout Boogie' stereo version.

Two more here.
Mils Lofgren's 'first' album, a really nice hardly-played copy. Backs-up the live copy of 'Back it Up' I got recently from the same shop..
Richard and Linda Thompson 'Pour down like silver' . This one I hadn't noticed in the discography so it'll be interesting to see what's good on there - hopefully some tracks at least, with their talent.

A chum (Tony, Floppy Boot Stomp) had this, it was powerful in Mono IIRC.

All my copies are Sterrry-erry-O.

Ah, FBS, yes.
What gets me about Safe as Milk is that it sounded weird even in 1968 !

It did?! I'll take your word for it, I was only 3 years old, I don't remember it too well!

From the US, not expensive. I feel like I'm ahead of the wave of Flamenco re-appreciation !
First LP I've ever bought with the Elektra 'Atom' label design.
Thick vinyl, 1958, barely played :

Not many people know this but there's only one Flamenco song in existence!...

You know the one.... starts slow, then builds up, then there's a tricky rhythmic bit, then the hand clappin' and foot stompin' starts and then it goes a bit quicker then it ends in a maraca thrash.

Same song, every time innit :)

Enjoy!

I can recommend the Flamenco museum if you ever find yourself in Malaga. Small with short opening hours but worth a trip. Malaga too for that matter - forget the Costa reputation, the old town is really nice.

Picked up a load of stuff recently.
Got the eels album from last year on 10" vinyl, called the deconstruction. Great album
Got the buckingham nicks reissue, sounds exactly like Fleetwood mac sound after Buckingham and nicks joined, the genesis of what was to come. Actually a really nice album.
Kiln house by Fleetwood mac, an odd album.........
Odelay by beck, frank by Amy Winehouse which I wasn't expecting to enjoy but do.
Alf by Alison moyet, ub44 by UB40, track record by Joan armatrading, out on the streets by the selecter, Beth Hart and Joe bonamassa live in Amsterdam, art Garfunkel breakaway.

Still crazy after all these years by Paul Simon, 10cc greatest hits, court and spark by joni Mitchell, reissue of the madcap laughs by Syd Barrett, April in Paris by Charlie Parker

Sky 1 by sky, Duran Duran 7 and the ragged tiger, Danny Wilson maarys prayer on a 12" single, deep purple fireball, and now 6.

Oh and the eagles greatest hits.

Most are very good, the Paul Simon, court and spark, the 10cc and sky are mint. The sky lp was 50p.... The others weren't. The reissues are pretty good in terms of Sq.

Even though a couple were charity shop specials in good nick I dread to think what the total cost has been....
