#1 Analog to digital
Locked as I am to the devialet phantoms in one room in Bedford Towers I found no analogue input so a stack of SACDs lay idle. I bought one of those tiny a2d converters from Hongkers on eBay for £7 Inc p&p.
Brilliant - it works at 48kHz I believe so 'better'than CD,not as good as SACD. Ineed it exposes poor recordings on CD a little too obviously (that digital signature perhaps) but so tiny dosh outlay it can also be remarkably good.

Moi
?! don't know how... but if you eBay search analog to digital converter you will get pages of digital to analogue converters. Every so often there will be what you are looking for. Silly prices!

Did that, there's hundreds! Tried restricting price range to £7, nothing.

We is after Analogue to Digital (ADC)
Had a quick look at a couple which are optical output, the rest were DAC's actually

My ADC is using the optical output. It also has erm, is it called SPDIF, you know digital using a phono like socket.
It was about a month ago and it was tedious sifting through the DACs when I had specifically searched for ADC, but then eBay searches are often like that when one is looking for something relatively obscure.
