anything more complicated than a triode and I'm a klutz but I'd like to understand this sort of technology...
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

The long-awaited V2 version of the Raspberry Pi has been launched today:

http://uk.farnell.com/raspberry-pi/rasp ... dp/2461029 (stock is going down at a rate of about 100 units per 10 minutes ATM, so will be sold out in an hour)

Now has:
  • Quad Core A7 CPU (was single core A6) - now 6 (SIX) times as fast
  • 1GB RAM (was 512Mb)
  • 900MHz Board Clock Speed (was 700MHz)
  • 40 GPIO Pins,
  • 4 x USB Ports
  • 4 Pole Stereo Output
  • HDMI Port
  • 10/100 Ethernet
  • Micro SD Card Slot
Just ordered 3 :)

Increase in memory & speed takes a HUGE extra 1 watt of power - now 3 watts in total!

....much more interesting now as a media centre. OSMC might stand a chance.

Microsoft will also be giving away Windows 10 on the Pi 2:

Is there a decent audio card with this version of the Pi, along the lines of the old Wolfson?

I have a couple of these. They sound very nice indeed. I can't say how they compare to the Wolfson.
