#1 new music server

Post by ed »

I'm a bit out of touch with this stuff, as I realised when posting to Andrew' thread.......so I'm seeking some advice....

My linkstation is a bit long in the tooth, and the disc is running out of space, and as I broke the case trying to hoover out the dust...I thought it's probably time to replace.......still works triffic though!!!

anyway,I am thinking of putting together an atom n270 in a fanless case....but I'm out of touch with the server software for linux...it'll need to serve sb3 for the moment but I'd guess when/if that breaks, I'll need to think about a new client box....

any pointers on latest server software to save wading through the last 5 years of progress on the SB and hacker forums?

Personally, I would install Debian, and then just install the debian package.
