There is a chap on Ebay (Wakefield area) selling 3 pairs of Eminence Beta 15" 8 ohm speakers if anyone is interested. I checked with him on the 8 ohm bit.

Not brand new but could be very lightly used.

A question for any speaker experts here....would these be any good in an open baffle arrangement? Probably about time I dipped a toe into the speaker aspect of diy but I know absolutely zero about this sort of thing.....

Yes they are probably the best budget option in my opinion. Nick uses them in his OBs.
