#1 1000uF 300V, 105°, Epcos
I was looking on Ebay for 4 1000uf caps around 100v, and came across a German seller offering boxes of 60.
Now I have no need for that many.
If anyone else might be interested in some let me know.
Price will depend on the bidding but most probably less than £1 each + post.

Just out of interest, what are the 1000uf caps for?

For the Pass 50W SEM amp.
There are 2 1000uf caps per monoblock.
Any suggestions, or alternatives are welcome.
I have some 10,000uf and 10uf in the spares box.

Only 60...pre65 wrote:I was looking on Ebay for 4 1000uf caps around 100v, and came across a German seller offering boxes of 60.
If you spend any time playing with mosfets you'll be needing all of those, and more...

All 60 only adds up to 60,000uF, and for mosfets (or any high current sand amp) you end up with lots of uF in the power supply. If you build monoblocks then you need even more caps... Big caps cost big money so you end up making do with arrays of smaller ones if you have them to hand.pre65 wrote:SimonC wrote:Only 60...pre65 wrote:I was looking on Ebay for 4 1000uf caps around 100v, and came across a German seller offering boxes of 60.

They are not for the power supply.I only need 4 of the 1000uf.
I have 10 large (physical size 75mm dia x 110mm long) Rifa PEH169MT5220QB2 22,000uf caps for that.

That was why i was asking. Why do you need 100v, I would have thought 16v would be fine in that position. They are not for the power supply.I only need 4 of the 1000uf.

Did occur to me too, but for 60 off giving plenty of spares 100V (or 300V even) is a nice large margin of usefulness.
