Wanted. 250v sec transformer.(one)

The spec is 250v @ 30ma.

Using back to back transformers I'm only getting 220v.

The nearest I can find is Mikes (Danbury) 50VA Universal Valve Mains VT1413, but that is a bit over the top.

Use different transformers for the back to back. Even with no losses you would never get 250v starting with 230-240. Maybe 230:12:9:230 would get you closer. Ir add some extra turns to the secondary to increase the ratio.

Thanks Nick, I was wondering about that.

I realised that 250v was unobtainable, but 220v was enough to get things working.

I'll check the spares box when I get home, if the Yorkshire border police release me.
