FS: Metcal MX500P-11 NIB + extras

Post by jack » Tue Dec 27, 2016 8:02 pm

I am selling a brand new Metcal MX500P-11 two port station new in original box complete with a new MX-RM3E pencil handpiece, new MX-WS4 work stand with YS3 sponge and a new AC-CP2 cartridge removal pad. The RM3E is £70 + vat on its own at RS...

Metcal is the complete dog's b*llocks of soldering stations - ask any professional.

Also included are complete circuit diagrams, parts list and diagnostic instructions in the unlikely event that it would ever go wrong.

This is new and untouched - it's 110VAC out of the box - I bought it direct from the USA (actually bought 3) - simple link change to convert it to 230VAC - I have done this on my other MX500Ps and if the buyer wishes, I'll do it on this unit before shipping.

It was my spare unit, but as they are easy to fix should they ever go wrong, I've never needed it, so it's going. I'm rationalising my kit.

Offered here first before eBay. Because I'm nice like that :)

I'm asking £300 + P&P, which is, I believe, extremely fair. I'll chuck in some bits too, probably new ones if I can find them, to get you started...

Metcal, one serious piece of kit.
Analogue, the lost world that lies between 0 and 1.

Back on sale. I'll accept GBP 200 for a quick sale - brand new. Top bit of kit. Brand spanking new.

Surplus to my requirements as I got the latest one when in Dubai. However, I've used Metcal all my professional life and it's the DB's

If not sold in a couple of days, eBay it is...

Serious!

Hi Nick,

I’ll buy it, please. If you can convert to 230v that would be good.

I can pay PayPal or bank transfer. Let me know.

Thanks,

Greg

Sure - I'll convert it. P&P at cost...

I might have to wait until the weekend as I have evil genuine (non "man") "flu. Don't recommend.this at all.

Converted it to a MX500-P-21 (the 230V version) and tested.

Have included 3 decent s/h bits. I will have a look around for others, but the ones I've included cover most things.
