Hi all,
I've been recommended to have a look at this forum by a user of, er, another forum (ouch!)... I like what I see, so hence have signed up.
I'm hanging on to the last threads of sanity, after 10 or more years in UK hi-fi retail, so can hopefully contribute something to the forum?!
I've just built a second hi-fi system, using an ancient Philips AG9015 valve amp with JR149 'speakers, but know very little about valves, other than that I like what I hear.
Not to say that I don't enjoy my main (Roksan electronics) system, of course, just that the two are very different!
Thanks for reading!

Hi and welcome.
Looks an interesting amp.

From what i have read it seems to be an OTL amp,but with output transformers as well, and funny speaker plugs for 800 ohm (yes 800 !) speakers.

Hi Dave,
I blame the parents - well, they named me, after all!
Fact is, I use RSC on all the forums I go to: makes it easier for people to recognise me that way.
I'd rather be called Rob, to be honest... thanks for asking and thanks for your welcome.
