Incidentally, you probably know already - there can be quite a difference between choosing headphones to match a phone or similar - as opposed to reasonably powerful hi-fi equipment and there will be people on here qualified to advise accordingly. Den.

Why would that have a bearing on my not practising anything like enough.
In all likelihood I'd similarly neglect a Les Paul too :lol:

Time is a precious thing. If you wanna play you will play and if not, well the guitar will make a nice ornament. A new guitar may excite you enough to continue practicing - but may not either. Sometimes practicing with a friend helps, rather than by yourself. Whatever works for you basically. Try a different instrument perhaps - one that doesn't take as much time to learn? Sell the guitar and buy some music?
