Yes, the Alphason is making all the right noises as far as I'm concerned. I've been very impressed with it. I've got something else on the horizon to try shortly. It's not DIY, so I'll post that elsewhere

Ok, thanks Nick

I'm getting the chance to try a Phonomac AT-1010 Tonearm. He's a retired fella who has the inclination and ability to fettle Audio Technica tonearms and the Technics SP range.

I'll share my thoughts on the forum in that case!
