Hi all, just validated my membership..... finally acquired a late model oil bearing Garrard 301 today!!!! Planning to talk to Darren again soon (he was really helpful a while back, thanks!) as I covet a twin tier plinth set-up in slate. And now it all got more complicated, well expensive I guess, with the new 40mm slate option..... though I do find the 30mm twin-tier visually the most elegant (from what I can see in the pictures!!)
Struggling a bit now with dreaming of the most suitable tone-arm to go with the 301 and slate..... At least I can more or less quit dreaming about that long-desired 301 now! Anyway just thought I'd post my interest. By the way, I actually AM from the colonies (Kenya) though now well settled in the wilds of Highbury North London! Robert
My new (to me) Garrard 301 and ambitions for slate.... etc.
