Love it. Regardless of the genre, the best is always worth listening to.

The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

Apple music recommended a track called. "Rufus (swung his face to the wind, then his neck snapped)" from the 1960s, by a sax player named Archie Shepp. I'd heard the name but never listened to anything by him.
What a fooking totally random racket! Thomas and DTB's "specialist music" from Owston had nothing on this.
Needless to say I won't be further exploring Mr Shepp's repertiore, though I may bring this track to Owston to play through any Lowthers that turn up

Just won an auction on eBay for what's described as a mint copy - when it arrives we'll have some nice new speakers to listen to it on Did I mention we were happy with the Mets? Can't recall....Mike H wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2017 8:29 pmI've got that on vinyl, came from what was my dad's collection, nice to get it out sometimes, it was well made must be said.Thermionic Idler wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2017 8:35 pm On our third strong vodka and orange...

I wrote a few years ago now, about Isotope, Gary Boyle's little collective from 1974.
I had written that I'd seen them on OGWT in 1975 and been blown away with their composition "Spanish Sun" from the album "Illusion"
Amazingly, I've found the video (from OGWT that I saw way back then) on YouTube. There's also a snippet of Whispering Bob, introducing Nico on the end of the tape.
Here is Bob introducing Isotope from 1975:

Now got Herbie Hancock's 1970 album - Fat Albert Rotunda on.
Funky and Groovylicious

So I guess I'm on me own then
