#1 I went shopping tonight in Sainsbury's
A lady was stacking the shelves so I stopped to listen to her going on and on about northern soul ...
& then
For only £3 each I bought
Kinks - The Singles
Etta James - At Last
Talking Heads - Essential (not good actually imho)
The Best of Stevie Ray Vaughn WOW!
John Lee Hooker - The Definitive Collection
and I didn't waste money on The Doobie Brothers 'Greatest Hits' (yuk city)
There was also a Monkeys CD but I've got them on LP. Jeff Buckley's Grace too but I've already got that - Cor
Some of the above were further discounted as two for a fiver.

Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

Sainsburys? Groovy. I will tell you my man, you ain't done the boogaloo til you sashayed down the aisle at Tescos singing the Junior Murvin version of Police and Thieves. And then place into your basket some fresh hummous.
The Doobies made one good album imo 'The Captain and Me' with other assorted good trax but must confess not all good and Michael McDonald killed them.
All that other stuff I have.
I think I'm going a bit weird, I just listened to Petula Clark's hits thingie and quite enjoyed some of it. Help me.

Wasps are the Katie Price of the Animal Kingdom - utterly pointless and bloody irritating!

But Fixating and enjoying her music are two different things ?
I was more into fixating on Judith Durham. I saw a recent interview on you tube she did for Australian TV and she seems an incredibly nice person and still worth a fixation or two.
Here is a 2011 clip.

If we talking fixations every time this lady appeared on the black and white television young Anthony's knees went wobbly
Only 2 pix of her there, sort of 'then' & 'now'.
I fear we may be becoming removed from the ghost of Etta James wandering by the delicatessan counter at Sainsburys
