#1 Dory Previn RIP

Post by shane »

Another sad loss. Mythical Kings and Iguanas has been a favourite album for the best part of 40 years.

I use to think the older you got the cosier it became. Not true. Older I get the more I see folks I valued drop dead. Folks I admired, people I respected and yes, those I didn't care for much but they are still my peers and now they are dying on me. Some younger but mostly older.

Too many deaths. Dory was 86, I was aware of her but not really familiar with her work. It just seems like another kick in the shins and I wonder how long it will be before I shuffle off this mortal coil.

Hey, sorry, don't want to be a downer, just a sort of realist, RIP Dorothy, you made your mark, troubled upbringing and all. Respect.

Sad to see any artist pass away, but Dory has been on my like list for many years.

The CD I have is " in search of mythical kings (the UA years) )and I'm playing it now to remember her.

Rest in peace Dory. :)
