Maybe the rest of the world know about this chap, but I only found him the other day, and I was so impressed I bought the CD :-).

So I might be annoying you with it next time we have a "do"

Not quite my thing but interesting.

Seems to have "worn" a finger away !!

What we need is a video of DTB playing. :)

thats a rare find Nick....I closed my eyes and Jan Akkerman appeared before me......having said that, he's not half as good as his drummer

But at least no sign of any yodeling (yes, I know it wasn't him :-))

I think he knows a couple of competent drimmers as well

Maybe we should send DTB out scouting

"Govan plays at the Bassment club in Chelmsford, Essex every Thursday night in jazz-fusion band The Fellowship."

Thats about halfway between Philip and me. Audio talk forum 'Big Night out!'

He's a great guitarist but not my cuppa tea thesedays I have to admit but I understand why he appeals.

If there is, I never found it.

that 'erberts got a very distinctive voice... I just played the 'paper' track and had to listen right to the end....thats pretty rare for me these days as I seem to be more impatient than ever....

problem is when you get old and crinkley you find yourself comparing or being reminded of stuff from years ago, like the post at the beginning of the thread where I likened the chap to Jan Akkerman.......well this guy reminds me very much of Robert Wyatt....same timbre and use of voice in the 'cut off' phrases.......nowattamean dude

If you been playing with him Dave I'm sure you've been having a blast
