Couple of recent posts made me smile...
Renault forums - re holidays in Majorca -
Re: What's made you grumpy today.
Went there for my 50th and our 25 wedding anniversary ..
Last time I went with my wife on holiday..
Spending ten days with her, having to speak, was a nightmare, had packed in smoking for over 8 years, the last night at the airport, had to take a smoke off her.
Otherwise she would have gone over the balcony..
From that, she goes away for 20 days a year, and gives me back my " Me " Time..
Soviet Steeds - re doing the Dalton Highway in Alaska
Oh yeah the Dalton highway is one brutal beast. Washboard hard packed dirt. Kill your enthusiasm potholes. Smooth asphalt? Forgetaboutit! Slick as snot in the wet spots. Long hills, sharp turns, permafrost heaves, mosquitoes big as bats, more stupid moose...
. . .
Today was an epic day for viewing wildlife. I'm was heading east from Watson Lake and saw 10 black bear, 5 Grizzlies (3 brunettes, 1 red and a blonde), 40 buffalo, 8 bighorn sheep and a lynx...
. . .
I never realized how big the adventure riding community really is. I've probably met and talked with people from 30 countries and 40 states. Today's surprise was 5 middle age ladies riding adventure bikes from Ontario, Canada to Alaska. They do a trip together every year.
Yes very amusing. I particularly liked the babysitter.
I'm just back from 10 days in the USA so I missed all the fun back home, but Trump's America didn't strike me as a very happy place, though I don't know what it was like before TBF. Our American cousins can sometimes be a little more blunt than we are - attached photo taken in San Francisco a week last Friday.
