Funny, you can still remember the cyclist's first and sur names after all these years.
Greetings, WL

http://www.extremetemperatureelectronic ... rial3.htmlOn the low-temperature end, there are additional effects that allow devices to operate below their "freeze-out" temperature. First, if the semiconductor is doped to a certain concentration, it can attain degeneracy, a condition in which the dopants require no energy for ionization. For example, this happens in n-GaAs at a fairly low doping concentration (~1016 cm-3) that is common in standard devices. Thus, standard GaAs MESFETs can operate down to the lowest temperatures, essentially to absolute zero. For Si, degenerate doping requires a much higher a concentration (~1019 cm-3). On the other hand, there are effects that prevent operation even before the device is cooled to the "freeze-out" temperature. For example, standard Si bipolar transistors cease operating well above the Si "freeze-out" temperature, as described later.
Its official, excess doping can lead to degeneracy.
Whenever an honest man discovers that he's mistaken, he will either cease to be mistaken or he will cease to be honest.

You Earthlings... how you make me laugh.
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

Just got a good one from 'Salvage Hunters' with Drew Pritchard and his mate 'T' who does all the donkey work & driving . Maybe you've seen it ? ( maybe not, might be a Wales thing ) .
After buying some signs & mirrors & stuff at an old fairground in Porthcawl, they set off for Conwy . 'T' who's driving, says :
Q : What did St. Patrick say to the snakes, as he was driving them out of Ireland ?
A : "Are you alright in the back there ? "
