I came across this very old file, it made me chuckle:

A thought for today

We are born naked, wet and hungry. Then things get worse.

Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Why is "abbreviation" such a long word?

Ever stop to think, and forget to start again?

In just two days, tomorrow will be yesterday.

I am in shape. Round is a shape.

I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

Help a man when he is in trouble and he will remember
you when he is in trouble again.

An optimist is simply a pessimist with no job experience.

If today is the first day of the rest of your life,
what the hell was yesterday?

Show me a man with both feet firmly on the ground,
and I will see a man who can't get his pants off!

Time is what keeps everything from happening to us all at once.

Hard work has a future payoff. Laziness pays off NOW!

Am I getting smart with you?...how would you know?

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you

Take my advice, I don't use it anyway

Sign on baby's bib: SPIT HAPPENS.

Eat right, exercise daily, live clean, die anyway.
There's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be

My mum was upstairs when she heard this sketch when it was first broadcast. She was aghast

That's a very spooky coincidence because just a few minutes ago I was looking at this: :D

Just got to love Father Ted. Perfect in every way.

My favourite (amongst the many scenes I love) is "I hear you're a racist now Father!":

I was looking at a car auction on EBay a while ago.

Ad said "female driver with black box".
