Finally got round to starting the Pinnacle kit.Doing these with some mods, starting with Andrew's filament supplies-
All done-
Started populating the chassis with tag strips etc-
That's as far as I've got for now. I'm awaiting some delay boards for the HT to arrive and I need to get some toroids ordered to cater for the filament supplies.

It'll be a soft Owston this year unless either Nick brings his hairy arsed monoblocks, or Steve has built some 107dB/W speakers he's not telling us about

Just got a pair of Impulse H2, I'd bring them if I had room in the car, but they're a bit on the large side..

OTOH I'm quietly looking forward to hearing a load jazz trios and girly guitar stuff. I've got a Chesky CD somewhere.
It'll be like Eggborough 1 all over again. Ahh......memories.

Nah just power amps these.
Am considering the Masterpiece pre as well though, seems to be much love for it online.

Hi Ali
Will be interested in how you rate the H2s, I've had a pair for about 10 years and they are more to my taste than anything else I've had.
I moved the crossover out of the speaker and added a small amount of damping to some of the inside panels.
Best of all, they go as loud as the room can take powered by a single 2A3.
