Yes, the two black ones are 'Audio Grade' from Toroidy in Poland - they've got a big range and are very good value too.

I got the updated PCBs today so I should be able to make some good progress over the weekend.
Steve, I have a pair of boards for your rebuild but I won't be able to get them posted before Saturday because of work commitments.

Hi Steve, did you see the PM about sending you the new PCBs?

I have the PM from Sun 3rd March, but nothing else since then

Ah! Looks like I had a senior moment as I remember typing a PM to you but just checked and it's not in my Sent box.
Anyway, in another of those moments I accidentally deleted the PM with your address. If you send me a PM with it I'll get the PCBs in the post on Monday.
Sorry about that.

I suspect I may be over-thinking this but probably best to check...
I have a toroid with two secondary windings that I need to connect in series. Each secondary is identified by the colour of its sleeving on the flying leads but the sleeving is the same colour at each end of each secondary so let's say white-white = sec-1 and black-black =sec-2. I have no other information.
To connect them in series, does it matter which end of the white sec-1 connects to which end of the black sec-2?

Leave them open circuit and connect one wire from each pair. Measure the voltage across the other two ends. If it is double the individual winding voltage then that's right. If you have them the wrong way round, the voltage will be around zero.
TD-125/RB250/MC25FL & 'Snail' phono, NAS/SBT with CS4398 DAC, 41MP pre & MoFo Power, still messing with OBs.

Cheers, I'll do that.little eddy wrote: ↑Sun Mar 31, 2019 9:48 pm Leave them open circuit and connect one wire from each pair. Measure the voltage across the other two ends. Unless I've misunderstood the question this might be interesting:

It's about phase of the windings rather than their DCR.

Can't see the pictures on t'other so PhaseDots is still a mystery

In spite of family and garden tidying commitments I finally found some time to progress the project a little today. Hooked up the various transformers in the power supply chassis and measured them without any load just to make check the connections where I'm parallel or serial connecting secondary windings. All good so next is to assemble the delay circuit for the B+ supply and hook everything up to the rear panel conenctor.
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Interesting, lot of family tidying to do is there?
