Now trying the DAC in NOS (non oversampling) mode.
I think I prefer it this way, now playing Vivaldi Four Seasons and it just seems more musical, perhaps even a slightly bigger soundstage.
I can't do much more till next week now, West Yorkshire beckons.

I've been busy lately, but today I'm trying the TDA1541 DAC with the SB Touch.
Still in non - OS mode.
Very nice, so far.

'OS mode' ??
When I have a moment I'll bring my Micromega T-DAC over - it is an example of a jolly good implementation (very expensive) of the TDA1541 chip, or so I believe. A comparison might be interesting.

Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.

Yep, OS is oversampling. 3 points to our Mr Formby impersonator.
And yes Andrew, a comparison would be useful.

By the way what's "green" about it?

The PCB for the original DAC was green.
The new one is mainly orange-ish.

Oh right OK, I was hoping for a more exotic reason
