I know it's been mentioned before but to take the plastic stub out unscrew it by fingers only with leather glove or rubber glove or some material of that sort for grip. Put in the bass one the same. Then slip on the weight, may need to slacken the grub screw to get it on. Don't let it fall out tho c...

How about an O-ring top and bottom? The bottom one gives a bit of friction on the nut as well so doesn't come undone so easily if not tight.

PS: Mike what do think of the brass rega rear weight compared to the standard one as thinking of getting one from ebay Infinitely superior IMO, bit of a pig to set up tho, youse needs patience, steady hands and a stylus balance. Oh and a tiny Allen key. :D Plus good lighting and good vision. :shock:

Have never had to bother IIRC and I've used 'em in various things going way back. Them's usually well behaved them 6SN7's.
