How about those tall thin speakers Andrew had at Owsten, would there be room in the space for something like that? Or maybe a sub/sat setup would help.

Ah ! I see Feastrex drivers "start" at $2990 per pair !! I wonder whether Scott could do something similar to take a more reasonably priced Fostex ? Unfortunately though the pair of Feastrex I heard did sound exceptionally good. So good I would have bought some if I had the spare cash. So...

Top man, good place to put these. Keep them coming.

Maybe we should point you at the valve models and curve capture software...

In theory, yep, but its never as convenient as the box with the switches and knobs on the bench.

16.6W seems a bit high to me. The pages I can find give a max plate voltage of 250v (though that is as a tetrode). I would have expected more like 45 levels of dissipation, maybe 10w or so.

Yes, but how many days back do you need? And if only a few, what if the fault happened three weeks ago and you have only just noticed.

I would prefer something that doesn't need to modify the system on a daily basis. How often do you need to install software?

As to how to check and turn them off, I don't know.

Are you sure its not the OS taking restore points thats taking up the space?

Defender is there to compare every program you run against a list of good, bad or unknown software and use that to decide if its safe to run, and should not take that much disk up.

I will agree with both of you. Free can be good, but I have stopped using AVG as it seemed to start getting a bit out of date and started using Kasperski and found IMHO the small yearly cost is worth it. Like Greg I got one of the three license deals from ebuyer and thats all the house windows PCs c...

I can't think of anything to add that not pure supposition. I guess as g3 is normally at the cathode then its as good a place to connect the shield to as anything.

Ok, then use one scope probe in the scope, the BNC to phono on the sig gen, phono cable into that, and connect the scope probe across the end of the phono cable. If I was you and the sig gen works ok, I would make up a little box with a BNC in and a pair of banana sockets out, and a parallel phono o...

If it connects the output of the sig gen to the input of the scope then yes. I thought you had some oscilloscope probes now, so I am not entirely sure what the question means?

I would guess the LED's go on the white pairs, overload and power, can't say which way round.

The Left and Right input and ground will be the input to the module.

And the red and black will be for 13.5v DC input. Guessing red is +.
