Last night I was getting totally spaced out on a couple of rounds of an iTunes Genesis compilation, fink I should try it again tonite with the EL34's. Haven't got around to them yet. :D

Plus can try the suppressor grid options with them.

It should if you make 'CG' what you originally had in Spice. The board layout is OK far as I know, can still be tweaked just by changing some comp values if desired. E.g. the Zener V-drop according to actual ripple (20V is a worst case scenario), plus Nick's suggestion to use a 30V Zener in place of...

A differential grounded grid might work, cartridge between the two cathodes. DC on the cathode isn't a problem then. Ee ba gumm, that's a point.
