I have an early TomTom. It does the basics. I've never paid for an update. Last night I had a business meeting, travelling from Bristol to Nantwich. M6 was standstill from J11 to J25. I pulled off and worked a way across country but to do this, I reverted to my atlas. The TomTom recognised my chang...

Tears For Fears "The Seeds Of Love" is a great album that's well recorded and produced. The standard pressings are plentiful and cheap 2nd hand, but the one to have is the Mobile Fidelity pressing, which is just sublime. http://www.diversevinyl.com/item.php?id=30691c598a617f19b3eeedf093389...

I've not been impressed by the Samsung S2 navigation. I've had a couple of occasions recently where I've deliberately ignored its advice and used my local knowledge instead, and I've found that the routes it selects are not necessarily the quickest, and it does not like to reroute at all. When it fi...

The normal connection from Virgin Media is over coax to your nearest sub-node, which is where the last leg of the fibre optic connection is demuxed. Because the connection is over coax the bandwidth is sufficient to run several set-top boxes, and provide broadband at 120Mbps. BT now have fibre to yo...

So, just having a big poo could make a difference ? It certainly can in some instances, and sometimes you need to get a receipt for doing one.... The fabulously beautful planet Bethselamin is now so worried about the cumulative erosion by ten billion visiting tourists a year that any net imb...

He was wearing boots when he brought it, then took them off to walk back Elementary my dear Watson Or, was carrying a 3D printer and quickly made a pair of small-footprint-leaving-overshoes for the journey away. DTB Another possibility is that the footprint leaver could have walked backwards to the...

To be honest I think it's worth paying the £20 price difference, and at the moment there is one big thing to be said in favour of The Bass Centre, and that's that they have the bridges in stock. I'm not sure I follow your reasoning there...surely it's exactly the same product, just £20 cheaper at T...

ahh I was hoping you'd found somewhere cheaper than this: http://www.thomann.de/gb/babicz_bass_bridge_chrom.htm?gclid=COvMscqmgbQCFefMtAod90UA7A I'm sure it's good value for money, I'm just an enormous skinflint at the moment..... To be honest I think it's worth paying the £20 price difference, and...

Looking at the DAC specification - it says that no drivers are required. That being the case the best it can support is 16/48, as the Windows drivers will only permit this. To support greater bit depth/sample rates requires the use of a proprietary device driver for use in a Windows environment. The...

JB got a new bridge ... http://studio939.zenfolio.com/img/s8/v9/p314627698-5.jpg It's a big improvement on the stock bridge. The new bridge has improved the clarity, tone, punch, harmonics and sustain on the JB no end - well worth the outlay and mucking about factor. And it does it all without chuck...

To date I've found little issue with recording quality from Linn Records.
If things sound rubbish at your end Colin, then there's something not right with your setup.
