Sorry, yes it's come out of hibernation and I've been 'playing' with it and found it sounding jolly good...not how I remember it at all!

I struggle to see what benefit cryo treatment would bring, if there was a perceived improvement to the sound then I can only think the operational parameters of the valve would have been changed...in other words you could achive the same by just choosing an alternative brand of valve....who's to say...

I was thinking about 15 volt regulator into 9 into five volt regulator, high quality caps a choke or two - well you get the idea - even try 12 volt dry cell into regulators - anything other than the wall wart. Simple LM317 in pre-regulator config with a second will sort it for very little outlay...

Al as Nick says you can use the RF outputs to watch Sky in other rooms.

You may want to install a magic eye so as you can control the channels but you will be watching the same channel in each room....
