I got a similar amp for one of my sons last year (Amazon.com - it wasn't available on the UK site) - ISTR that it was quite well made - not attempted to extract the schematic from it yet, but will if folk are interested - he's off travelling for the next few months anyway, so I suspect he won't noti...

I would agree with you on that. They are best in small-signal environments e.g. front-end, pre-amps and line stages... places where the s/n ratio is critical.
