Sat working, and idly musing. Wonder what the lp12 i used to have (valhalla, akito) would sound like compared to the xerxes, oracle and jbe.
Dunno why, just idle musings

Re: what are you doing ?
Well the musical fidelity headphone amp that went bang went back last week, ive had a refund issued so at least thats sorted. The chap reckons that it had been dropped by rm on its way because hes found something detached inside it. I didnt go inside it, didnt want to cause any returns issues by ope...

Re: what are you doing ?
No way for me to get down there! Id like to go at some point though I did want to try a solid state headphone amp, so before christmas i bought a musical fidelity hpap. Turned up in good time, looked fine, plugged it in and it immediately went bang. That was disappointing. So that has now got to go ...

Re: what are you doing ?
I think ill give the sundaras a further look, there seems to be some reasonable discounts available at the moment. Or i could go abit more upmarket and keep an eye on some second hand quad era 1 planars. And have a good think on how to distribute all these bloody turntables. Theres no point thinking...

Sitting here contemplating where i go from here 'hifi wise'. For a long time now i have not been listening to the main rig very often, the usual reasons, kids always in the room, dogs playing up, constant noise, interruptions, things to do, the usual things that happen in a home, you know the drill....

Re: A little light humour
What sort of systems would be in use that would be 32 bit?
Would these be older legacy systems or relatively new ones?
Most companies i have worked for that had proprietary internal systems used unix based systems so i assume its more of an issue for those companies
