Interesting. My KR 300BXLS sounded horrid after running at 4.4V DC for a long time, progressively getting worse. Maybe running them a little closer to 5V would be better though. I think they sounded better over voltage, but it's only hunch as I didn't run them like this long enough to be sure. Thas...

Sorry about the fuzzy piccie (camera-phone) but I've finished 6EM7's 'mansized' valve rect mods and shiny non-inductive cathode resistors mounted on the heat sink. http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z109/davethebass1/Picture15.jpg Not long now to the Owston 'show-n-tell'. I'm wearing my excited trou...

Thank you very much Gent's, I'll not sleep over it on 6EM7 then.

In DHTski I always have to adjust the heater voltage if I swap 6C4C's with Ken Rad 6B4G's. With the constant current regulator on a WW pot it's easy innit.

Indirectly heated Heater Voltages.

Bit of a newbie question, hence posting it here... After completley revamping 6EM7 I've noticed the Heater supply is down a bit, its approx 5.8V AC. I think it always was TBH as the heater cct is something I haven't played with at all, it's literally direct from the TX to the heater pins on the 2 6E...
