Re: Zero emission road vehicles.

Spoken to a friend who lives in Norway and the low temperatures do cause EV owners issues there as temps drop well below -30c at times. Obviously journey planning is key as is keeping the cars, even petrol and diesel in a heated garage. He did say they have a good charging network though so it’s re...

Re: Zero emission road vehicles.

I think it’s fine if you have an overnight power source to plug into, leaving an EV in freezing conditions at an airport for a few weeks with a low battery is going to be more of an issue. Oh, well that’s just another example of poor user practice. The user manual clearly states that in such circum...

Chargers or batteries.... https://www.theregister.com/2024/01/16/tesla_owners_in_deep_freeze/?utm_source=daily&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_content=top-article Interesting. For contrast, consider that in another cold place, Norway, 87% of new cars sold last year were EV’s with the Tesla Model ...

Re: Parking fine.

Let the reader decide. Also worth researching the recorded irregularities of Parking Eye’s unsatisfactory history of enforcement. How can they bring a charge without submitting evidence?

Re: Parking fine.

Well, it might say that, but it doesn’t make it true. For you to be found liable here, enforcement will have to prove you didn’t shop or you exceeded the allowed parking time. The onus is still on them, and this civil burden of proof rests with them. You would say on oath that you were compliant. En...

Re: Parking fine.

In my area, the Aldi parking is limited to 2 hours, monitored by ANPR CCTV. There is no requirement to shop in the store. If there was such a requirement, the onus would be on the enforcement company to prove you did not shop. Check the detail on the car park notices. Based on what you have said, it...

Re: Zero emission road vehicles.

I heard about a diesel bus that caught fire out around here a little while back, it was long enough ago that I can't remember the specifics of when/where but, curiously, it didn't make the BBC News page? Exactly! If you accept the evidence from Neal’s YouTube link above, the media emphasis on EV fi...

Re: Valve amplifier service

Looking at the original build instructions I sent you, you’ll see all grounds go to the bridged input RCA sockets ground tabs, as does the earth wire from the IEC socket. I would have thought making a close comparison between the amp you have the the instructions should indicate if it has been built...

Probably the best you can do is once you’ve shortlisted some companies, check customer reviews on Trustpilot.
