Re: Dac for an arcam delta 170.3 transport
I dont do streaming it does nothing for me tbh I dont want to pay for another subscription service either My first love is vinyl and I have to admit that when I visited Scalford some years back and saw people playing music files from their MacBooks I was very dismissive. Nowadays I like the sound a...

Re: Dac for an arcam delta 170.3 transport
Could be an AK4393 Ant, I have one I made some years ago, it's in a Modushop case. And another one (can't remember the chip) in a World Designs case. I must try my old DACs and see how they sound. I think Nick said (recently) that a proprietary chip (like the AK range) with a decent output stage wa...

Re: Nothing In Particular
I thought a 300b amp with transformer coupling to the o/p stage would sound better than one with capacitor coupling all else being equal. I'm thinking about a single ended amplifier like my Border Patrol SE300B. I realise component quality and circuit design are key.

Re: Nothing In Particular
I was very impressed by the cases though I agree with Ant on the glossy finish. Would rather have a matt finish. It would have been interesting to see the subsequent stages of construction.

We are 50,000 drivers down and the govt. says there is no crisis. 750 army drivers are to be drafted in. How's that going to help? Re: E10 fuel.
I read somewhere that owners of petrol powered lawn mowers and similar should check combatibility with E10.
I hadn't noticed until reading about it that our local Asda petrol station were already supplying E10.

Re: Zero emission road vehicles.
Yesterday I watched a program with Guy Martin on Channel 4 (UK) about electric vehicles (EVs). He did a long distance journey in the UK to see how easy it was to charge the car. His ‘range anxiety’ was not put to rest. I was surprised to see that apart from chargers not working, it could be expensiv...

That's terribly sad. I only met him once - at Owston. I remember he had a very warm manner. My condolences.

Apologies in advance - Two prawns were swimming around in the sea. One called Justin and the other called Kristian. The prawns were constantly being harassed and threatened by sharks that inhabited the area. Finally one day Justin said to Kristian, "I'm fed up with being a prawn; I wish I was a...

It's very very impressive but I wonder how it handles and if he's done anything to improve the frame rigidity. I can't remember if the 2 strokes were like
the early 4 strokes ie Z1 ie dire. Good to see it has dual front brakes.
I wonder if it sounds as good as the triples.

Does anyone dream about a bike they owned? If only I'd been able to afford to keep my '81 bevel 900ss Ducati when I was buying my first house. A nice investment to be sure.
