I might call in and check them out when I'm mobile again.

I think Ortofon recommend a load impedance of >20 ohms.

However most ortofon MC carts work best around 100 ohm.

Have you tried Henley Designs. They are the main UK agent.

Don't know anything about these tubes but a copy of the data sheet for the 5B225M attached. Apparently the 5B255M has identical characteristics as 5B254M.

How do you build them so quick?

I've been building my 6em7 integrated amp now for what seems ages. But then I am presently hamprered with the use of only one leg and a pair of crutches. Well that's my excuse.

A veritable bargain for someone at this price.

I'd be seriously tempted myself if I wasn't so brassic at the moment.
