Re: Nice MC SUT article by Dave Slagle

I have had a browse through the link, and fortunately/unfortunately I struggle with the Electronics Information. A information that caught my attention was the reference to the origins of the SUT being related to Microphones. In the late 90's - early 20's I was on a hunt for a Valve Phonostage, and ...

Good to hear the first impressions are promising. Yourself and Colin will undoubtedly endeavour to discover the solutions to deliver to your personal requirements. From my end it sounds like a long time in the making and excitable venture is now being undertaken. The Ship has definitely left the Por...

Re: PERSPEX QUASAR ver 2.0 prototype build

This is a better location to find my following post. Hi Nick I was quite impressed with a Quasar Design at Owston and you was very communicative with me about the design and offered good quality information in support of it. The fact you have stuck very close to the design principles speaks volumes ...

[quote="Ali Tait" post_id=176400 time=1591015380 user_id=21] I was given some material by John G- a highly compressed foam type material that I think would be ideal for OB baffles and TT plinths. If John’s amenable it could be used for this? Hi Ali The Phonotherm is yours to decide how it ...

Re: Attempting to understand the Loading on a Cartridge

There has been positive news supplied, that the owner of Cinemag has personally produced the Group Buy 30 units of the SUT's. They are expected to be shipped to all GB Members from next week. One of my local group members is producing a SUT as well, so hopefully another group agenda to be undertaken...

Re: Cheap SUT - AT630 upgrade?

I am a member of a Group Buy for Cinemag 1245 SUT. The pair are a very similar cost to your Sowter 9570 Price. At present there is a delay to the order being produced, which could mean a option might still be available to join, when the production resumes. Just mentioning this as a further idea on o...

Re: Simple to achieve Projects ( That Might Prove Useful)

At the moment, when I've finished with the producing information for my Company. I have been getting out with a Camera and attempting to capture images of the Kestrels that are nesting. They are aloof and extremely aware of their local environment. I am now putting on a Ghillie Suit, to improve on t...

I've been on the Vit D as well, and drinking increased amounts of fluids as well as hot beverages, and been slat water gargling every few days. I had chronic neck pain, for a few years, since the Lock Down I am taking part in, the Chronic Pain has disappeared completely. It is a amazing freedom, Blo...

Re: Simple to achieve Projects ( That Might Prove Useful)

Hello Simon I am a bit out of touch with the coatings used on metal parts belonging to machines. The part in the video being polished looks to be from a Motorbike Engine. Are you looking to rejuvenate a particular part. My own need, is to treat my first owned Valve Amp's Chrome Case, it has Pitts sh...

Hi Steve,
The product in the demonstration is a Italian Product.
What are the UK equivalents you may know of ?
I have a Pitted Chrome Plated Case I intend on rejuvenating, the scrunched Aluminium Foil, is not getting the job done.

One for the enthusiasts of 'All Things Metallic with Bling Appeal'

The Link shows a Simple to achieve Project, producing a 'Bright Outlook', for the times at present.
Or at worst one can 'Reflect' on things.

Re: Attempting to understand the Loading on a Cartridge

Before this Thread started, I asked the builder of the HM-3 a few questions and sent a link to a Web Page. I have received a response, and the pasted a paragraph of the reply to this post. My assumption of 1:10 has been incorrect. I'm still yet to ask about any other build info, as Cinemag have Join...
