CCD 228 ESP

I think that is the model in the title, I never had my glasses on when I looked tonight. Anyway, I have been loaned a unusually modified version of the above model, a lot of valve circuitry and other upgrades to support the schematic. I don't know much of the wizardry under the hood, but can say I h...

Re: Phono bake-off

I recently read and have had a later follow up communication through a PM, with a member from another forum, who won a Slagle Autoformer. He was very pleased with his prize and is happily claiming good experiences on its behalf. I,d think that a Phonostage put forward as a prize could have a similar...

Reflow Oven DIY

I have stumbled on a Website Whizoo.com
It has a DIY Build of a Reflow Oven know as a Controleo2. To those who desire such a oven this may be a cheap backdoor route into a affordable device.

Re: Southern Phono Stage Bake-Off

Leave it to the end of September, kids back at school and a bit of thumb twiddling will get a bit of motivation.

I have No Preferences for a particular Day. It would be nice to have a big turnout though and take advantage of these rare events.

Re: Phono bake-off

A Phonostage Comparison Presentation in the London / Kent region, what a good idea, I can make it and visit a few family members while travelling, win win.
Might even arrange a few miles with Dave the Bass on the cycles 8)

Re: Phono bake-off

I hope this is not going off topic, but the 834 Phonostage seems to have made a good impression. I like all the effort that has gone into its revival through a variety of build projects seen on the web. There is also a recent release of a much improved power supply, that seem to work very well with ...

Hi Dave Impressive stats, 50 Miles and averages speed of 13.4mph. In your Selfie Image you have a capture of Portcullis house as the building in the rear on the left. At another time in my life I installed many of the Phosphorous Bronze widow frames on that construction project, I was kept on post c...
