I can't really add much to what's been said. Ben Duncan has put most of the info in one neat package. I've used a 3 stage mains filter since about 2003. Similar to this:- http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tacima-IFI23-Stage-Conditioner-Filter/dp/B000UPHYDQ It hasn't been switched off since I installed it........

Nick doncha just lurve the crossed wires thang.............. I think(I'm not 100% sure) that a qnap is linux, but they are self contained. I also thought that Simon runs windows on his other machines so he would have to access the qnap from windows, unless he can telnet in to it to get the linux int...

If its a Linux if the worst happens I should be able to read the disk for you.
